Agathon the Ephesian, in order to maintain the original monastery that was built on the site of the present-day Zoodochos Pigi and Agathon Ephesian chapels (commonly known as Agia Sotira), cultivated trees, vegetables and beehives (for wax and honey) in the adjacent garden. At the entrance to the garden he built a small guest house with three rooms. This place was called Kipos Panagia.
